One of things about being homeless is that the hurdles to overcome don’t end with getting housing. Getting an apartment is great! But many of our residents leave and move into their new apartments with little more than clothes and a few personal items.
The local Ashley Furniture store has stepped up to help the children leaving our shelter. They have been giving them twin beds! For free. You can imagine that we have had some VERY happy kids (not to mention their mothers!).
The employees also personally pooled their money and gave us a $200 shopping spree in the store. And they keep a collection box for Georgia’s House on their front counter.
So we wanted to dedicate this post and say “Thank You!” to Ashley Furniture.
